Car radio works but CD player not working?

Very difficult problem.One of  our client noticed this problem on  his Lexus GS 300.It was 1993 year model Lexus.
In his case,the radio was working fine,but the CD player was not working.This problems are very rarely noticed.
The customer was able to load and eject the magazine. But the radio display never register the CD is on.On this model vehicle, the CD player is located in the trunk. Cassette is with the head unit.

This model the magazine is spring-loaded, there is no "motor" noise when putting in CD's.

On this basis the troubleshooting is as follows.

First of all check the fuses controlling the Radio unit and if all checked ok,then problem with wiring on CD unit.

The CD changer receives its two inputs for power directly from the radio head unit. There is no separate fuses to power up the CD changer. Make sure that the dome light works, this fuse feeds the radio. That is one of the main power feeds for the radio and changer. Also the 15 amp CIG fuse and 25 amp radio number one fuse which is used for the amplifier power supply. If these three fuses check good then I would remove the connector going to the CD changer to see if there's any corrosion or loose pin fits. If that does not do it you're probably looking at a bad CD changer unit.

The CIG fuse is in the fuse box behind the left kick panel. The other fuses are in the fuse box under the hood.
