How to relieve fuel pressure on Acura?

The details are as follows :----

First for 2001-02 Models:----

1. Before servicing the vehicle, refer to the precautions section.
2. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
3. Remove the fuel filler cap.
4. Place a shop towel over the fuel pulsation damper.
5. Loosen the fuel pulsation damper 1 turn.
6. When service is completed, replace the sealing washer and tighten the pulsation damper to 16 ft. lbs. (22 Nm).
7. Replace the fuel filler cap.
8. Connect the negative battery cable.
9. Start the engine and check for leaks.

1. Fig. Use a wrench on the fuel pulsation damper (A). Place a rag over the damper (B) when relieving residual fuel pressure-2001-02 MDX

For 2003-06 Models: -----

1. Before servicing the vehicle, refer to the precautions section.
2. Remove the drivers side dashboard lower cover and disconnect the PGM-FI main relay.
3. Remove the fuel filler cap.
4. Start the engine and let it stall.
   
   NOTE

   A temporary code may be set during this procedure and the codes must be cleared after repairs are completed.
5. Turn the ignition OFF .
6. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
7. Remove the quick connect fitting cover.
8. Place a shop towel over the quick connect fitting and disconnect the fitting.
9. After the pressure is release, reconnect the fitting and install the cover.
10. After repairs are complete install the relay and connect the negative battery cable.
